Vatican City

Country #13

Smallest in the world,
St. Peter's, Sistine Chapel,

It was a while ago that I went to Vatican City, obviously while I was in Italy, on holiday with my family. But I do remember being excited to visit a 'new country', despite the fact that it doesn't particularly feel like such when you 'cross the border'. Even with the inevitable huge queues of people, the main attractions of St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel are, of course, stunning and awe-inspiring in many ways.
