Quirky and different,
A nighttime tram ride.
This was country number 3 on my Baltic tour, having arrived from Lithuania into Riga by coach.
Riga seemed quite a bit more ex-Soviet than either Lithuania or Estonia, so in that sense it was interesting to see the differences among the Baltic states. I don't actually recall much about what I did, though I do remember a (slightly tipsy) nighttime tram ride and walking through the mainly Russian-speaking market areas. Riga didn't seem to have the same stylishness as its neighbouring country capitals, but it was nonetheless pleasant overall.
