Country #56

Progressing forward,
Eastern past, Western future?
Views of the Baltic.

Estonia was my final stop on my Baltic tour in 2014. I arrived into Tallinn by coach from Riga, and enjoyed the luxury of the bus and the views of the countryside on my way over.

Tallinn is a funky little city, with a very pleasant old city centre, nice restaurants, and a cool, almost Scandinavian, chilled vibe. While I was in town, Barack Obama was also in town, so it was interesting to see the city being secured for his visit.

I really enjoyed strolling around, soaking in a bit of sunshine and views over to the Baltic. I think Estonia has a really bright future, from what I saw, and I'd definitely recommend it as a long-weekend destination for family and friends in the UK.
